It's 12:40 early Wednesday morning, this is apex news and I'm your anchor Casey Thurston.

In economics, I'll be having at least a Grand Day when I get back, as two orders of painful inconvenience didn't go through. On the bright side they'll both be more financially secure when the orders do go through. On top of that, it will impress my boss and probably land me another promotion. I never thought I'd like my job, but then having ridiculously friendly and attractive co-workers doesn't hurt.

In weather, I still haven't packed yet, and it's already 1:00. I've gotten reports of mid-to-upper 90's some days, and as low as 40 degrees at night. I'm very confused and I'm seriously considering not packing clothes at all. In times of dire need, it is not uncommon for people to hunt and kill others of their own species for their fur, to help survive the frigid night air. That's an interesting and little-known fact.

In sports, I went bowling with old-school Cutaway Brian and Peter, which is always a blast. They have a sense of humor as uncommon as my own, so we play off of each other well. Bowling itself is always fun, too, since we haven't done any of that as a group since the summer began. Also, I've done a little dancing of revolutionary caliber, and somehow found that even the most difficult songs really don't amuse me anymore. I only do it for the aerobic workout, and to keep my legs strong for climbing. Speaking of which, the commandment "Thou Shalt Not Climb" still stands, haven't been back to the gym in a good long while.

In local news... there must be a mistake, there is nothing to report!
...ahem, pardon me.

In corrections, edits, and retractions, that was actually Gigantus Megapodus that stalks its kin for fur, not people. I don't believe Tennessee is quite close enough to Canada to shift any blame for disappearances on to the megapods, so I guess a bulging suitcase will have to do. My apologies for that mistake.

This was your apex update, and this is your anchor Casey Thurston saying "fare thee well."
